Get to Know Us a Bit Better

Dr. Mehrdad Hedayatnia, a leading pain management physician in New York. He is board certified in Interventional Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology. He currently serves as the Medical Director of Pain Physicians Associates, PLLC.

Dr. Hedayatnia, Known to his Patients as “Dr. Mike”, has lectured extensively on topics ranging from spinal cord stimulation, Intrathecal Pumps, neuropathic pain and complex regional pain syndrome to pharmacological approaches for chronic pain. Dr Hedayatnia’s primary interest is in Intervational Pain Management and has performed thousands of these procedures over the past 10 years. 

Dr. Hedayatnia also speaks for several Pharmaceutical companies, and has written numerous articles and has been interviewed by scientific magazines and TV shows.

After completing an Anesthesiology residency at New York Methodist Hospital Affiliated with Cornell University, Dr. Hedayatnia completed an Interventional Pain Medicine fellowship at NYU Medical Center New York.

Mehrdad Hedayatnia, MD (Dr. Mike)

Marsha Fridman  is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner, FNP. She is licensed to practice in both New York State and Massachusetts. Ms. Fridman has extensive experience in Pain Management, Internal and Family Medicine. 

Marsha Fridman, FNP received her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Nursing and Science at the prestigious Regis College in Massachusetts. Ms. Fridman also holds a degree in Business Administration and worked for top pharmaceutical companies.

Lorraine Montemarano, NP-BC, MS, RN  Is an adult advanced nurse practitioner. Born in Brooklyn, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in both Biology and Nursing from Wagner College. Upon graduation Lorraine began her career as a Registered Nurse by being accepted into Staten Island University Hospital’s cardiac and pulmonary critical care unit for six years. She diversified her career in interventional cardiology and radiology. 

Lorraine has spent the last nine years in orthopedics at New York Methodist Hospital, during this time she has gained knowledge of the care of the orthopedic patient and their pain. Returning to school, she was accepted to Long Island University’s adult nurse practitioner program and began her Master’s study. Upon graduation, she became certified as an adult nurse practitioner, Lorraine serves as a patient advocate, educating the patient with regard to preparing for surgery and continued support throughout the postoperative period.

She accepted a position working in collaboration with pain management physician Dr. M. Hedayatnia. She quickly became knowledgeable about the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients with pain and combines her experience in musculoskeletal disease to individualize her care. Lorraine is an active member of the Nurse Practitioner Association.
